HUDSONVILLE, MI – The judge accused of leaving a threatening and inappropriate message for a man who did not show up for a hearing has recused himself from the case. Hudsonville District Court Judge Kenneth Post will not oversee the hearing on drug and traffic charges against 23-year-old Philip Andrew Mallery after defense attorney Joshua Blanchard filed a motion calling for Post to recuse himself.
Judge Bradley Knoll, chief judge for the 58th District Court, said he will oversee the case in the place of Post, who this week left on a fly-fishing vacation.
